How It Works

1

Press the Action Button

When you start riding a wave — let go of the rope or stop relying on electric assist — press the orange Action Button on your Apple Watch Ultra.

2

Wave Tracking Begins

Once you hit foil speed, the app starts recording your wave. Distance, speed, and duration are all tracked automatically from this point.

3

Wave Ends Automatically

The wave ends automatically when you slow down. Or press the Action Button again to end it manually — useful for eFoil riders who transition back to motor power without slowing down.

Why manual end matters: eFoil and foil drive riders often transition back to motor power at full speed. Without manual end, the app can't tell when your wave riding stopped and motor power resumed. Pressing the Action Button gives you precise control.

What It Works With

Assisted Wave Mode is designed for any scenario where you use power to get up on foil, then ride without assistance.

Jet Ski Tow-Ins

Get towed into waves by jet ski, then press the Action Button when you release the rope to start tracking your ride.

Tow Boogie Tow-Ins

Same concept as jet ski towing — press the button when you let go and start riding on your own power.

Wake Foiling

Track your wake foiling runs behind a boat. Press the button when you drop the rope and ride the wake on foil.

eFoil Tow-Ins

Use an eFoil to tow into waves. Press the button when you cut the motor and ride the wave under your own momentum.

eFoil / Foil Drive

For eFoil and foil drive riders — press the button to mark when you transition from motor power to riding a wave or bump.

Any Powered Watercraft Assist

Works with any scenario where you use power to get up on foil, then ride without assistance.

Good to Know

Wave count may be inaccurate for towed or assisted sessions because GPS tracks include time under power. Assisted Wave Mode helps solve this by letting you mark exactly when you're riding under your own power vs. being towed.

For the best results, press the Action Button at the moment you release the tow or cut motor power. The more precise your button press, the more accurate your wave data will be.
